Guitarist and composer Dave Hiltebrand calls his unique style Cinematic Americana—a term that embodies his love of the elegant pop music of James Taylor and Bruce Hornsby to the gorgeous film music of John Williams and Thomas Newman. Dave combines his textural finger-style acoustic guitar playing, cinematic colors and his easy going voice to create heartfelt and multi-layered music.
In 2019, Dave launched soundandsimple.com. Sound & Simple is a music meditation workshop series. The culmination of his work accompanying yoga classes as well as his years of developing his distinct style of cinematic guitar playing, Dave's Sound & Simple workshops create spaces for people dealing with stress and anxiety to those seeking a break from the high stress pace of daily life, to simply slow down and find calm.
Dave released his debut solo acoustic guitar album "Yoguitar, Vol.1" in 2016 and continues to keep a busy schedule of solo guitar performances, concerts, private events and yoga events.
Dave recently collaborated with Ben Wisch, Grammy winning producer of Marc Cohn's "Walking in Memphis" on his new single "Wouldn't Change a Thing."
Dave has composed music for Fortune 500 companies, film and network tv, Emmy nominated projects, co-written national top ten songs, and appeared on numerous studio recordings.
He has toured nationally and internationally with Jersey Boys National Tour, The Chicago Children's Choir, Nick Colionne and Steve Cole in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to Havana, Cuba. Dave has appeared on network tv in commercials, Empire, The Oprah Winfrey Show and Betrayal.
Dave plays Godin guitars, D'Addario strings and Bag End loudspeakers.
